Plip is not your average faerie. Full of outlandish habits, she surprises even herself when she spontaneously sets off on a grand adventure at her best friend's birthday party to avoid revealing her heart to him. Plunging into a crazy expedition, Plip follows her heart, her brain, and even her eyebrows in an astounding journey that leads her to a handsome stranger and distant kingdom.
Todard, who thought he would be celebrating his fifteenth birthday with Plip, must instead put on a brave face as he realizes that his best friend needs her adventure in order to find herself. Inspired by Plip, and to staunch the pain in his heart at her departure, Todard sets off on an adventure of his own where he encounters giants, unravels mysteries, and perhaps even stumbles upon a dragon. Or could it be a cat?
